Last year I went with my wife to an art exhibition in Mantova about Mirò. We then decided to buy a print of one of Mirò’s most famous paints an from that day this picture has been in the wardrobe.
Yesterday I decided it was the time to try out my new picture frame jig for my Bosch PTS10 table saw.
I had this studs from an old bed and they were laying around my shop for months now. Size 40x40x1200.
In order to get the right dimensions of the frame I used my DIY Picture Frame Dimension Calculator: I highly recommend you to check it out and use it because it is super quick and easy.
Used material:
- Acrylic glass or Plexiglass purchased at my local home store, OBI.
- Faesite panel as backer board purchased at my local home store, OBI
- Scrap wood I had laying around in my shop
1st Step: wood cutting
As I said before, I decided to use some scrap wood I had laying around my shop: the original size was 50 x 50 x 1200 mm and I decided to cut it to 40 x 30 mm using my Bosch PTS10

I also recommend you to have a look at my DIY Table Crosscut Sled for Picture Frames I built myself some days ago to make this process nice and easy with no errors and perfect miters you want achieve with just your miter saw.

The glue-up using my clamps
You definitely want to try my version of the DIY Picture Frame Clamps I made some time ago: they are cheap, easy to build and super handy once you have to glue your frame all together

And below is the last picture frame I’ve made with the same process.
